Sometimes, you need to reach out beyond your comfort zone.
You do that with having to perform, and with your imagination, why not your reality?

If you as a friend can't seem to help, maybe the most you can do is listen to them. Or suggest someone else they can talk to, whom you felt helped you in the past, and could help them now.
People can go to psychiatrists and spill their heart out, why not do that with someone who, although not a close friend, is a friend nonetheless?
Really. Reach out.
